Allockate continuing to use state support and exploring further opportunities

Allockate is a Latvian start-up that develops access control and self-service solutions – electronics and software that automate access to lockers, parcel lockers, and similar self-service points. The company’s goal is to simplify access systems and make them more accessible to companies for whom existing solutions on the market are often too expensive or complex. In the long term, the company is focusing on developing access systems as a product that can be integrated into other companies’ platforms and solutions, including outside Latvia.
During the development process, Allockate has used the support offered by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) for the remuneration of highly qualified employees, which has allowed the company to focus on product development in the early stages. In addition, the company has also used the consulting and testing support available from the Digital Accelerator of Latvia.
Company founder Eižens Poišs gives and overall positive rating for the collaboration with LIAA: “The application process was not overly complicated. The first time was perhaps more challenging, but the second application was much easier – I understood what to do and how.”
At the same time, Mr Poišs does not hide the fact that the company is still navigating the wide range of support instruments and their suitability for Allockate’s needs. Therefore, the support offered by the LIAA incubation programme could potentially become an important next step for the company, especially in further product development and improvement.
