On October 14, 2024, LIAA organized an online seminar entitled "How to Start a Business in Healthcare Technologies."

The webinar, organized by the Latvian Innovation and Technology Representation in Israel, was attended by leading medical technology experts from Latvia and Israel, who shared their practical experience in founding start-ups in the HeathTech field and attracting investments:

  • Emīls Sjundjukovs, CEO and founder, Longenesis digital healthcare solutions platform;
  • Dr. Irit Yaniv, director of ALMEDA Ventures, founder and investor in MedTech startups with 25 years of experience;
  • Dr. Vadim Ratner, IBM R&D Center at Haifa University, AI researcher in patient data processing (medical image segmentation, image analysis, super-resolution)
  • Prof. Shai Izraeli, Director of the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department at Schneider Medical Center.
