EIT Open Calls Offer Funding and Collaboration Opportunities for Startups

We invite you to learn about the latest programmes from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), offering funding, training, and international collaboration opportunities across a range of sectors.

Funding and Development Opportunities from EIT RawMaterials

EIT RawMaterials supports startups developing technologies and business models across the raw materials value chain – including materials science, circular economy, substitution of critical raw materials, battery technologies, chemicals, and sustainable manufacturing.

  • Call for RIS Innovation Projects
    Funding for innovation projects across the raw materials value chain (exploration, processing, circular economy). Support of €800,000–€1,000,000 for projects lasting 1–2 years involving at least two partners from RIS countries.
    Deadline: 24 June 2026
  • KAVA Call 14 – Upscaling
    Support for scaling technologies and bringing them to market (TRL 5–8), focusing on testing and demonstration. Funding of €500,000–€2,500,000+.
    Deadline: 24 June 2026

Support for Mobility Startups and Urban Innovation from EIT Urban Mobility

EIT Urban Mobility promotes the development of sustainable mobility by supporting the implementation of innovative solutions – from active mobility and urban logistics to transport digitalisation and smart city infrastructure.

  • Strategic Innovation Open Call 2026
    Funding for urban mobility innovation projects with real-life piloting and clear scaling potential. Up to €2,000,000 per project.
    Deadline: 18 June 2026
  • Financial Support to Startups Open Call 2026
    Support for mobility startups (from early stage to growth) to develop solutions, attract investment, and expand into new markets. Funding of up to €2.5 million per company.
    Deadline: 31 August 2026

Support for Clean Energy and Climate Tech Startups from EIT InnoEnergy

EIT InnoEnergy supports innovation in sustainable energy by providing investments, access to expert networks, and market opportunities, accelerating startup growth and the commercialisation of innovative solutions.

  • InnoEnergy – Investment Opportunities (open on a rolling basis)
    Investment opportunities for early-stage clean energy and climate tech startups with validated solutions or prototypes.

Collaboration and Growth Opportunities through EIT Initiatives

  • InnoNext “Innovation Internships” (open on a rolling basis)
    An opportunity for startups to host PhD and postdoctoral researchers from leading EU research programmes, strengthening their innovation and R&D capacity.
  • Bridge to the African Market
    An opportunity to expand business activities in Africa through strategic mentoring, market insights, and practical knowledge on market entry, using Zambia as a gateway. Includes B2B meetings, partner connections, and business opportunities in technology, fintech, FMCG, and construction sectors.
