Consultation on Project Preparation for European Commission Programmes

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) provides consultation services to Latvian companies and organisations on the preparation of project proposals for programmes centrally managed by the European Commission and its agencies. The aim of these consultations is to support the development of high-quality project proposals, enhance their competitiveness, and increase the success rate of Latvian applicants in European Union–level initiatives, thereby strengthening knowledge transfer, innovation, and international cooperation.

The consultations are intended for the pre-application stage, prior to the submission of project proposals to European Commission programmes.

Target Group

Latvian companies and organisations planning to prepare and submit project proposals under European Commission funding programmes, such as Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, the European Innovation Fund, the European Defence Fund, I3 Instruments, and other similar initiatives, within one of the RIS3 priority areas.

Support Provided within the Consultation

Within the scope of the consultation, the following support is provided:

• information on relevant European Commission programmes and open calls;
• assessment of the project idea’s relevance and alignment with a specific call;
• recommendations on project structure, content, and partnership building;
• guidance on the application preparation process and common pitfalls.

The consultations are provided at the project idea and proposal development stage in order to support applicants in preparing for the development and submission of project proposals under European Commission–level programmes.
